Norwich City’s January transfer shortlist: Wolves player and ex-QPR man should be among those on it
Norwich City had a remarkably busy summer window, with the club having to contend with some high-profile exits, as new boss Johannes Hoff Thorup reshaped the squad.
Gabriel Sara, Jon Rowe, Abu Kamara and Adam Idah were among those to move on, and in many cases, the deals played out in public, with some individuals keen on leaving Carrow Road.
So, it was a hectic period, and that chaos undoubtedly played a part in the Canaries’ slow start to this season. However, they have improved a lot now, and promotion will be the aim for the club.

Norwich City’s January plans
The January window is always pivotal in the promotion battle, and it will be no different in the current campaign, so the recruitment team at Norwich will already have an eye on the New Year.
Historically, the club haven’t been huge spenders, but they should have funds available following the summer sales, and they may look to back Thorup if they feel promotion is a possibility.
With that in mind, we look at THREE players who should be on Norwich’s radar…
Bright Osayi-Samuel
It has been suggested that Osayi-Samuel is a target for Norwich, and it’s certainly a deal they should look to pursue if it can be done.
The former QPR winger has reinvented himself as an attacking full-back with Fenerbahçe, and he has been a very impressive player for the Istanbul giants over the past few years.
That ability to play right-back or down the flank would be very welcome for Norwich, and he would bring a different dynamic to the side with his blistering pace and direct style.
The January window is about quality over quantity, and Osayi-Samuel would certainly improve the team.
Norwich appear to have a good balance in midfield, with Kenny McLean and Marcelino Nunez key to what the side do.
But, there would be concerns about the lack of depth in midfield, and Cundle could help ease those issues.
The Wolves man is way down the pecking order at Molineux, and he will be allowed to leave in January, and the fact he has plenty of Championship experience at Stoke and Plymouth means he should be able to settle quickly.
Thorup wants his side to keep the ball, which is where Cundle excels. Furthermore, he can play in a deep midfield role, or behind a striker, so that versatility would be welcome in what is a demanding final few months of the season.
