Can Kentucky close the deal on one of its top recruiting targets this weekend?

The Wildcats are currently hosting Washington (D.C.) Sidwell 4-star point guard Acaden Lewis on his final official visit before making his college decision.

Lewis (6-2, 170), who is ranked as the No. 5 point guard and No. 32 overall prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports, is down to UConn, Duke, and Kentucky. He’s already taken official visits with the Huskies (Sept. 20) and Blue Devils (Oct. 4).

“Obviously they’re all blue bloods and everyone could see that pretty quick,” Lewis told 247Sports. “I want to play on the biggest stage and each school gives me that opportunity. I’ve always been the guy who likes to play in really big games/crowds. I always played better in games like that. There’s a thrill that comes with playing at these schools and they all have a big brand and elite coaches.”

Lewis, who arrived on campus on Thursday, is set to take in Big Blue Madness at Rupp Arena Friday night for Kentucky’s premier recruiting weekend of the year.

This summer, Lewis became one of the most coveted prospects in the country, adding scholarship offers from blue bloods North Carolina, UConn, Kentucky, Kansas, and Duke during the month of June alone.

Kentucky extended a scholarship offer to Lewis during an unofficial visit to campus following a standout performance at the prestigious NBPA Top 100 Camp in Orlando, where he was named Co-Most Valuable Player by 247Sports national recruiting analyst Travis Branham and jumped 44 spots in the national rankings.

“His dynamic ball skills and scoring ability created opportunities for himself and others time and time again,” Branham wrote. “Lewis drilled shots from three, got in the paint, finished around the rim, and was efficient in his production.”

Playing for Team Durant on the Nike EYBL circuit, Lewis averaged 16.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this travel season.

On Sept. 9, Pope sent the entire UK staff for an in-home visit with Lewis.

“Coach Pope has done a really good job recruiting me along with Coach (Jason) Hart and Coach (Alvin) Brooks. They’ve all been on my line and have watched film with me. They just came for an in-home visit with the whole staff which meant a lot to me,” Lewis told 247Sports. “With Kentucky there’s opportunity. I saw how he played at BYU. He played fast and really trusted his point guards. He lets them rock out and I can see myself doing that. I’ve also played with Jasper (Johnson) and Malachi (Moreno) at various camps. I can see myself playing with those two. Overall, Kentucky is a guard school.”
