Luke McCaffrey leaning on veteran leadership to maximize potentialRaiders lose superstar WR to injury for Steelers game

The Las Vegas Raiders ruled out wide receiver Davante Adams for their clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a hamstring injury. Adams has been embroiled in trade rumors over the last two weeks but suffered a hamstring injury in practice three weeks ago. He is not fully healthy yet and did not practice.

Meanwhile, Adams is not the only player the Raiders will be without. Standout second tight end Michael Mayer remained away from the team with a personal issue and was ruled out. The Raiders placed him on the non-football illness, forcing him to miss the next four games.

Christian Wilkins, their star defensive tackle, is on injured reserve after suffering a foot injury that requires surgery. The Raiders are hurting more than that, as starting wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, starting running back Zamir White,

\starting guard Jackson Powers-Johnson, starting tackle Thayer Munford, depth linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, and depth safety Trey Taylor are all questionable to play.

If they lose even two of those players, the Raiders could be in trouble, but they are already battered and have lost a significant amount of talent on the team. Las Vegas will hope to make up for the injuries and pull out a win at home against the Steelers.

The Las Vegas Raiders are having yet another tough start to their season.  After five games, Las Vegas sits in dead last in the AFC East with a record of 2-3.  It may finally be time for Las Vegas to part ways with star wide receiver Davante Adams.

After dropping to 2-3 on the season with a 34-18 loss to the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce decided to make a quarterback change. Pierce had previously pulled Gardner Minshew, who was named the team’s starter before the season, in favor of Aidan O’Connell twice this season. However, the games were mostly out of reach on the two other occasions.
