Teams expected 'to call' on Amari Cooper: 5 landing spots

Amari Cooper rumors: ‘Why would they not trade’ him, Browns ‘always looking to make moves’

Browns trade rumors are likely to flow especially around Amari Cooper

While the Cleveland Browns prepare for Week 6 and the Philadelphia Eagles, who have some talented players that can cause the team trouble, most are wondering what the future holds for the team. The Browns schedule provides a chance to right the ship a bit but most believe the 2024 NFL season is over.

That means NFL trade rumors and NFL draft prep.

We have already heard rumors that WR Amari Cooper could be on the move. We included Cooper as one of six tradeable players that could provide Cleveland with the best return.

Now we hear from Adam Schefter, via the Pat McAfee show, that it is logical for the Browns to move Cooper and that GM Andrew Bery is “always looking to make moves” in Cleveland:

The Kansas City Chiefs make sense but it is interesting to note that Schefter notes the Dallas Cowboys as a potential landing spot. The Browns acquired Cooper from the Cowboys in a deal a couple of years ago.

With WR Davante Adams also on the trade market, Cooper could become a backup plan for teams that need a receiver. It is also possible that Cooper is higher on the list as his contract is easier for an acquiring team to take on compared to Adams at this point.

With a month until the NFL trade deadline, rumors will continue to spread including around Cleveland’s roster. Cooper is the most logical candidate to be moved but fans should not expect a huge haul for an aging receiver heading into free agency who leads the league in dropped passes so far this season.
