Leicester City ace did one thing more than any other Premier League player in AFC Bournemouth win
Steve Cooper finally got his first Premier League win as Leicester City manager on Saturday as the Foxes beat AFC Bournemouth 1-0 at the King Power.
Steve Cooper may have felt he was in a precarious position after Leicester City drew at home against Everton before a 0-0 draw at League Two Walsall in the Carabao Cup.
However, a battling performance in the 4-2 loss at Arsenal showed that the Leicester players are all pulling in the same direction before an elusive first three points finally came at the seventh attempt against Bournemouth.
Facundo Buonanotte was the hero as his 16th-minute strike proved to be the only goal of the game, but there were plenty of strong displays from a Leicester point of view.

Leicester City’s Caleb Okoli best progressive passer in Premier League game week seven
Buonanotte saw his dazzling display rewarded with a call-up to the Argentina senior team this international break, whilst Mads Hermansen’s fine start to life in the Premier League was rewarded with a first clean sheet.
Central to that was Wout Faes, with the central defender a commanding presence against a decent Bournemouth side.
- It was Faes’ centre-back partner, Caleb Okoli, who lead the Premier League in one intriguing statistic, though.
According to data website PFF FC on X: “No player from game week seven of the Premier League completed more line-breaking passes than Caleb Okoli vs. Bournemouth (16).”
- Leicester spent £12 million to sign Okoli from Atalanta this summer but he found himself out of the side in the opening two games of the season.

This followed a poor display against RC Lens in the final friendly of the summer, but Okoli was handed a chance to partner Faes in the 4-0 win over Tranmere Rovers in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Since that night the pair have been the chosen partnership in every league match and have the makings of a really good duo.
Okoli is a physical presence with pace to burn, which compliments the more cultured Faes well.

In fact, it is somewhat surprising that Okoli was the one of the two defenders to play so many line-breaking passes against Bournemouth as this is usually an attribute you would associate with Faes.
However, it is testament to the development 23-year-old Okoli has undergone in a short space of time and the Italian should only get better.
