Commanders News: RB Brian Robinson Jr. Game Status Determined vs Browns

The Washington Commanders will have starting running back Brian Robinson Jr. on the field for their Week 5 matchup with the Cleveland Browns. There had been speculation that Robinson would play but now it’s confirmed. NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported the news on social media.

The Washington Commanders will look to keep their hot start going when they host the struggling Cleveland Browns in Week 5. Heading into the game, the Commanders had already ruled out receiver Noah Brown and defensive end Clelin Ferrell. Meanwhile, running back Brian Robinson Jr., backup quarterback Marcus Mariota and guard Nick Allegretti were all questionable. The Browns, on the other hand, listed tight end David Njoku and tackle Jedrick Wills as questionable, as both players have missed multiple games this season. If both of them are able to go, it will certainly make it a tougher task for the Washington defense.

Overall, it’s a very clean report for Washington, as Robinson will be good to play, creating a formidable running back duo between him and veteran Austin Ekeler. That duo could be crucial in taking the pressure off of rookie Jayden Daniels. Meanwhile, Cleveland had a good report as well, as Wills and Njoku will both be ready to play. However, tackle Jack Conklin will still not be active for Sunday, leaving a huge hole in the Browns’ offensive line.
