New Las Vegas interim head coach Antonio Pierce: 'I was born a Raider'

The Jacksonville Jaguars Will Be Looking For a New Head Coach Very Soon

After their quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered an injury last season and came back, they were unable to ever look the same. Specifically, they have won just one game in their last 10 dating back to last year. Their head coach Doug Pederson is on very thin ice, and now numerous reports reveal that he has already lost the job.

Doug Pederson Has Lost The Locker Room

There have been multiple NFL insiders and analysts that have reported now, that Pederson has lost the Jaguars locker room, and that his time with the team is coming to an end. He will either be let go during the season if the team keeps losing or at the end of the year.

Raiders Change QBs, Try To Move Forward Under Antonio Pierce

Pederson is a Super Bowl-winning head coach, and halfway through last season, the team looked like one of the best in the AFC. But after an 0-4 start this year, with many of their losses being blowouts, Pederson’s tenure seems to be coming to an end. Many incredible candidates are free agents at the moment.

Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the coach has lost the locker room in this 0-4 start. The team is already thinking about new leadership and he would not be surprised if Pederson will get the boot soon. In these situations, someone has to be the scapegoat for their awful play, and Shultz thinks it will be Pederson:

“I’ve talked to a few guys in that locker room over the last two weeks. They’ve told me that the locker room is gone in regards to the head coach. When I hear that, hear a team and a franchise that is absolutely rudderless,” Schultz said.

What’s Next For the Jacksonville Jaguars

Shultz is not the only insider to report this as ESPN’s Dan Graziano echoed very similar statements, and he also thinks that Pederson is going to be fired in the middle of the season:

“Pederson has moved to the front of the hot seat line. And while we don’t have any information to indicate that he’s in any imminent trouble, if the Jaguars keep losing,

That could mean at the end of the season or even possibly sooner. The Jags have a home game against the Colts in Week 5 then back-to-back London games against the Bears and the Patriots. This is their get-right stretch, and they need to take advantage of it,” Graziano wrote.
