Browns RB Nick Chubb to return to practice Wednesday
“It’s very frustrating. Nobody wants to be where we are. We have got to fight back off the ropes and we have got to come out swinging.”
Those were the words of reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett
“We’ve just got to execute. That’s all there is to it. We’ve all got to get on the same page,” said quarterback Deshaun Watson.
“You pour so much into it to get those wins. So it’s disappointing when you don’t get the results you want,” said two-time NFL Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski.
The Cleveland Browns are reeling, and nobody seems to know why.
Coming off an 11-6 season last year, the Browns seemed poised to continue the good times with a deep run into the postseason this year. But that hasn’t happened. They are only four games into this season and it has been a disaster.
Making it even worse: the Browns are 1-3, and they haven’t played any good teams. Their losses are to the 2-2 Cowboys, the 1-3 Giants, and the 2-2 Raiders. The lone win was over the 0-4 Jaguars.
Adding insult to embarrassment, Cleveland has not scored more than 18 points in a game. The Browns lost 33-17 to Dallas, 21-15 to the Giants, and 20-16 to the Raiders. Even when the Browns win they have trouble scoring points.
Cleveland’s only win was 17-13 over winless Jacksonville. In their first four games the Browns have been outscored 66-32. What is going to happen when Cleveland plays good teams?
