New York Jets Salute to Service gear available now

The NFL’s Salute to Service campaign is an annual initiative that honors and supports the military and veterans. It was first introduced in 2011 as a collaboration between the NFL and the USO (United Service Organizations).

In the 13 years since its inception, the NFL has raised nearly $70 million for Salute to Service partners.

Every Fall the new gear rolls out and that’s exactly what we’re aiming to highlight. So check out the Washington Commanders Salute to Service apparel below.

Please note that the NFL does not profit off the sale of Salute to Service products.

Any positive vibes the Patriots generated in Week 1, and managed to maintain after a competitive OT loss in Week 2, are gone. Poof! Vanished late Thursday night, somewhere over the New Jersey Meadowlands. What remains is the cold reality of New England being 1-2 as they head into a Week 4 matchup with another 1-2 team, the San Francisco 49ers. So the Pats are not alone in the standings. There are 13 other teams that share the same record, even if not the same trajectory:

Starting the year off at 1-2 doesn’t equate to a doomsday sentence in the NFL. A win in Week 4 takes the record to .500 and keeps a team in the hunt. The positive vibes come back. Fans re-engage. The good teams can play sloppily or lose early on but still have the pieces in place to regroup and finish the year strong. The average teams don’t have the same leeway and each win or loss could be the difference between a playoff run or an early out. The bottom feeders will start to pile up the losses as the better teams get rolling.

This week, I’m in the “Hey, at least they’re not 0-3” club. I’m hoping for a competitive game this Sunday. An anything-but-what-we-saw-vs-the-Jets vibe. Like New England, the 49ers are also feeling the brunt of injuries early on, giving the Pats a slightly higher chance for a W than some predicted back in preseason. I’m guessing San Francisco feels the same way and is hoping to use the Patriots to get themselves back on track. I haven’t been beaten into a state of reasonableness yet, so I’m picking the Pats —and mental toughness, for the win on Sunday.
