Taylor Swift’s Unexpected Decision for Chiefs-Falcons Is Turning Heads
It’s official. Taylor Swift has missed her first Kansas City Chiefs game of the season. This is after the pop queen was nowhere to be found in Sunday’s showdown between the defending champs and the Atlanta Falcons at the Mercedez-Benz Arena in A-Town. This comes as a bit of a surprise considering how a recent report indicated that Swift intends to attend as many Chiefs games as she can in the coming weeks in order to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Now that Taylor’s “Eras Tour” has concluded, she plans to spend as much time as she can with her beau, which, of course, entails having to attend as many Chiefs games as possible.
As such, Swift’s unexpected absence from Sunday’s game has turned heads on X, formerly Twitter.
A handful of major news/entertainment outlets have already picked up the development and have posted the same on X.
For what it’s worth, Kansas City’s next stop is another road game against the Los Angeles Chargers at the SoFi Stadium in Week 4. It remains to be seen if Taylor will be back in the stands for that one or if she will opt to make her comeback in the Chief’s next home game, which will be in Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints.
It does not seem like Taylor Swift has traveled to Atlanta to support the Kansas City Chiefs in their first road game of the season. One man who is in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium ahead of the Atlanta Falcons game is, of course, Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce. As always, Kelce was dressed to impress as he came into the stadium ahead of the defending champ’s Week 3 showdown. So much so, that the Chiefs just had to send a special shoutout to their star tight end and his ensemble for Sunday’s festivities. As it turns out, the team’s post on X, formerly Twitter, had a subtle message aimed at Taylor Swift.
Apparently, the team’s three-word caption is a reference to Swift’s acceptance speech during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12. As Taylor accepted the award for Video of the Year for her song “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, the 34-year-old dedicated the win to his boyfriend. “Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic,” she said of Kelce.
