Chris Sutton shares who he is expecting to win between Leicester City and Everton on Saturday

This weekend’s Premier League fixture for Everton is perhaps as big as it can get with the start to the season leaving a lot to be desired.

Sean Dyche has been unable to guide his side to any points so far in the opening four games of the new Premier League campaign.

Everton are sitting rock bottom of the table having seen – for the second game in a row – a two-goal lead slip away from them last time out.

However, there has been some positive news in recent days with John Textor’s takeover agreement for Everton nearing completion.

But the game on Saturday against Leicester City is now looking like a must-win for the Toffees given they are facing a side which are expected to also be around the bottom come the end of the season.

There is now only one side who remain without a point in the Premier League and that is Everton after what has been a dismal start.

However, three points on Saturday at the King Power Stadium could see Everton shoot up off the foot of the table and above the Foxes.

Losing this game would a damning statement of just where the Toffees are currently at after what seemed to be a promising summer of transfer business.

Speaking in his weekly predictions column for BBC Sport, Chris Sutton has admitted he can see Everton finally putting a point on the board this weekend.

“So, who do I back here? Everton are still without a point and also went out of the Carabao Cup on penalties against Southampton in midweek, but I just have a feeling that this might be the day where their manager Sean Dyche catches a break,” he said.

“He needs one, that’s for sure. Dyche should not be at risk of getting sacked and I want to make that absolutely clear, but you sense that a fair few of the Everton fans have turned against him now, and don’t have faith in him anymore.

“Another defeat, especially against another side from down the bottom of the table, would not go down well.”

Sean Dyche needs points on the board for Everton

Dyche is believed to have Farhad Moshiri’s backing at Everton despite the dreadful start to the new campaign.

With Textor seemingly closing in on an agreement to becoming the new owner at Goodison Park, Dyche may feel the need to show what he’s capable of.

After a promising summer window, there will have been some bigger expectations than what the Everton fans have seen so far.

Although fans will want to see three points secured against a struggling Leicester side, Dyche will be potentially take a single point just to get up and running.
