Cowboys reach agreement with Ravens Trade For Their Surprising 700-Yard Target which make him…

After recent reports, the Dallas Cowboys or Baltimore Ravens may trade for 700-yard target tight end, Harrison Bryant.

The Dallas Cowboys or Baltimore Ravens may trade for surprising 700-yard tight end target, Harrison Bryant this season. Bleacher Report believes the Raiders could move on from Bryant since there isn’t much for him to make an impact behind Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer on the depth chart. Offensive coordinator Luke Getsy will favor Bowers and Mayer already being a reliable backup proves that Bryant is expendable. Bryant spent the first four seasons of his NFL tenure with the Browns, compiling 89 career receptions for 791 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Trading Bryant wouldn’t be the worst idea since it’s likely he won’t be getting any playing time in Las Vegas. The Raiders could consider trading him if they’re out of the playoff picture similar to Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers‘ situation. Las Vegas has too many talent on the roster so it might make sense for them to trade at least one of the pass catchers to get some assets in return. Bryant should be able to draw some trade interest so the Cowboys and Ravens may be on top of their list.

The Cowboys need more depth at the tight end position after trading Peyton Hendershot to Kansas City this past offseason. Dallas is now dealing with Jake Ferguson‘s injury and they may have Luke Schoonmaker but he barely saw playing time last year. Ferguson is a pivotal player for Prescott as he’s his reliable pass catcher that provides comfort. Bryant could be useful in that same position if Ferguson suffers another hit so it gives Prescott more freedom to play with others in the slot.

He will be nothing more than short-term relief as he was a reliable backup during his Cleveland days. Perhaps, Schoonmaker and Bryant could share the snaps this season since last year Schoonmaker was a disappointment. However, the Cowboys might be able to survive but when Prescott is under pressure, it may be safe to keep a tight end like Bryant in the mix to make those crucial catches in third-down situations.

The Ravens have two capable tight ends on their roster that can make a long-lasting impact. However, rookie Isaiah Likely was receiving most of the snaps which is surprising for Mark Andrews coming off a stellar season last year. The good news is Lamar Jackson has more to work with this year if WR3 Nelson Agholor continues to be a disappointment. However, no one should be surprised if Likely takes over as the starter even though Andrews still has excellent chemistry with Jackson.

Andrews’ job is safe as long he can share the same amount of snaps since he’s one of the more elite players in the league. He isn’t going anywhere since he’s still a healthy scratch and still in elite form.
