Richard Keys claims VAR made a big error during Crystal Palace vs Leicester City
Crystal Palace haven’t been at their best so far this season as they still search for their first win of the Premier League season.
Oliver Glasner just hasn’t been able to replicate the form of last season with two points from a possible 12 so far in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace gave Eddie Nketiah a debut, but not even he could have much of an impact on the game, as Jean-Philippe Mateta bagged a late penalty to secure a point.
Leicester City will be slightly disappointed with just a point. They were 2-0 up in the 46th minute and on course for their first three points.
Jamie Vardy gave it to the home fans behind the goal after his opener after rounding Dean Henderson in the Crystal Palace goal.

Richard Keys says VAR made a big error for Jean-Philippe Mateta’s goal during Crystal Palace vs Leicester City
Jean-Philippe Mateta scored his first two goals of the season yesterday, helping Oliver Glasner’s side secure a vital point.
However, there was some doubt cast over his first goal due to the linesman flagging for offside, which led to VAR checking it on a deeper level.
VAR deemed Mateta to have been behind the player crossing the ball.
This didn’t please Richard Keys who was quick to voice his opinion on his Twitter account.
Was it offside?
Well, the linesman certainly thought so, as he initially ruled out the goal.
It does appear as if Jean-Philippe Mateta is ahead of Tyrick Mitchell when he crossed the ball into the box, but certain angles can often be deceiving.
You would hope that VAR has a better angle than the one shown on Keys’ screen as otherwise it’s slightly worrying, as the red line appears to be way ahead of Mitchell.
The one thing that perhaps is misleading is the fact that you can’t see all of Mitchell’s body.
VAR have many more angles available to them compared to TV operates and us fans at home, so there must have been a clear angle that led to them overturning the offside decision.
Interestingly, VAR appears to be getting called out by pundits on a regular basis, as Neil Mellor claims VAR made an error in Manchester United vs Liverpool.
