Hull City confirmed 25-man Championship squad with place for more signings two free agents set for arrivals

Hull City have confirmed their official squad list with the EFL, with still room for more signings after naming just 22 players in their squad. Every club had to submit a maximum list of 25 players that are eligible to play in the Championship for the rest of this calendar year. The deadline for that was 24 hours after the transfer window closed, but it can be updated in the event of a free agent being signed and registered.

The full squads are published alongside a list of under-21 players who are also eligible to play in the Championship. The presence on the under-21s list of players such as Mason Burstow, Abu Kamara and Xavier Simons has allowed City to name just 22 players, although that list is expected to grow given new signing Mohamed Belloumi was omitted from the list, while Steven Alzate is expected to be confirmed soon as City’s latest recruit on a free transfer.

Belloumi’s absence from the list is expected to be corrected, with confirmation of Alzate’s signing still awaited after a medical on Thursday. It means City could still go out and sign a striker or another signing should they wish to supplement Tim Walter’s squad further with another free transfer.

Thirteen members of the Tigers’ squad are homegrown, including new signings Carl Rushworth, Kasey Palmer and Codey Drameh. Homegrown means players who have played at any club affiliated with the FA or the FA of Wales for at least three seasons or 36 months prior to their 21st birthday (or the end of the season they turn 21).

one fewer player on their bench. A club-developed player is any player who was at the club for ‘at least 12 months prior to the end of his Under 19 season’; basically, anyone who was signed to the club for at least a year as a teenager (even if they were out on loan).
