Leeds think £10m attacker really wants to join them and they are trying to buy him on deadline day.
Leeds United are hoping to agree a deal for another player in the next few hours that isn’t Ao Tanaka or Isaac Schmidt.
Both Tanaka and Schmidt are almost certain to be joining the Whites before the window slams shut at 11pm, but they aren’t the only two they want.
Daniel Farke outlined his wish for three new signings in his pre-Hull City press conference and they are already two thirds of the way there, providing there are no late hitches.
Leeds are hoping to announce the signing of Tanaka imminently after he underwent a medical at Thorp Arch on Thursday.
Schmidt is due to fly to Leeds this morning ahead of completing the formalities of his move, but if all goes to plan, the 49ers are looking to make it a deadline day hattrick.

Roland Sallai’s stance on move as Leeds look for quick deal
The hope is that the bargain signings of both Tanaka and Schmidt will allow Leeds to go big on one marquee attacker.
Leeds’ squad is lacking that real out-and-out number 10 aside from Brenden Aaronson, and it looks as though Gustavo Hamer and Roland Sallai are the ones wanted.
Leeds saw a second offer for Hamer knocked back by Sheffield United on Thursday and with that appearing to be a difficult deal, Give Me Sport have shared a promising update on Sallai.

As per the report, Leeds have been ‘led to believe’ Sallai is strongly interested in a move to Elland Road despite interest from France and Germany.
With that in mind, Leeds are keen to strike an agreement with Freiburg by early afternoon due to a fear of being hijacked.
An offer of £10 million could be what is needed to get it done, and it would seem they have set a deadline on doing so, so they do not run out of time if they have to move on.

£10m is a bargain for Sallai
While Hamer would probably be the bigger statement due to the cost and where he is coming from, Sallai would be the better deal.
Sheffield United will look to milk every penny Leeds have when it comes to Hamer as they are going to have a difficult time replacing him at such a late stage in the window.
With that in mind, Leeds should instead push the boat out for Sallai, who at £10 million is an absolute bargain given his international pedigree.
Freiburg seem considerably more open to selling than Sheffield United and so hopefully Leeds really focus their attention on the Hungarian.
