PSG name Carlos Soler asking price in ‘concrete’ West Ham United update.
West Ham United will have to pay over £17million to sign Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to Le Parisien.
The French outlet reported via their website [12 August] that the Ligue 1 club are asking for that large fee in order to sell the Spanish international, with the Irons one of several Premier League clubs interested.
Soler looks set to leave PSG this summer and they have received “concrete interest” from the Hammers, while Aston Villa, Brighton and Real Sociedad have also made approaches in recent weeks and months.
The latter have reportedly made contact with the Parisian club over a possible transfer, leaving Julen Lopetegui’s side in a position to act if they want to secure the signing of Soler [El Desmarqure, 12 August].

Adding another attacking midfielder of Soler’s quality to this new-look side would arguably give Lopetegui too many options to choose from at the London Stadium, given he already boasts a wealth of talent.
That’s a welcome headache to have of course, but it does remain to be seen just what the Spaniard’s first-choice starting XI will look like once all of the Irons’ new arrivals have settled in and are match-fit.

None of that trio are out-and-out attacking midfielders, though, leaving this position as one Soler could provide competition for the likes of Mohammed Kudus, James Ward-Prowse and Lucas Paqueta.
