Luton Town – Midfielder Linked With Loan Move To Kenilworth Road.
The heavy defeat suffered at the hands of Burnley, in our opening fixture, has emphasised the need to bring in some reinforcements.
Last season, the Hatters utilised the loan system to good effect with Lokonga and Kabore impressing during their time with us, so could Luton Town do something to a similar effect this season?
This morning, speculation has surfaced, as reported by The 72 after
picking up on some transfer tittle tattle on X, that Brighton and Hove Albion could be looking to place a promising young midfielder, signed by them in July, out on loan for the 2024/2025 season.
The midfielder in question being 18-year-old Malick Yalcoupe, who is signed to a long term contract with the south coast club, a contact that does not expire until June 2029.
However, it appears that the Hatters are not alone in showing an interest, with our referenced source indicating that the Sheffield duo oF United and Wednesday are also showing an interest.
But the big question must be whether it is a signing the Hatters need.
Although it would seem that Yalcouye is a talented youngster, would Luton Town not be better served by bringing in someone with experience, somebody that could guide and provide inspiration to a side that was brimming with youth in our first game of the season?
