The former Chelsea and Liverpool man’s arrival will boost Postecoglou’s options and give the Australian his first real No.9 at the club. Richarlison did perform well in the role in periods last season but has struggled to remain fit and has not always shown a clinical edge to his game. The Brazilian will still have a role to play at Tottenham having committed his future at the club, but he may have to impress from the bench if Solanke’s transfer is completed.
