Tottenham haven’t signed a senior striker since Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich last summer, with Son Heung-min covering centrally throughout the 2023/24 season.

But the Lilywhites look set to finally replace the club icon with one of the Premier League’s most dangerous goalscorers and a deal could be done at around £60m.

According to The Athletic, Jadon Sancho has agreed personal terms with the Club and is said to be desperate to complete a switch.

Spurs’ negotiations with Bournemouth are now reportedly ongoing to finalise a transfer for the frontman who enjoyed the best Premier League campaign of his career last term, scoring 19 goals.

Solanke’s contract at the Vitality Stadium runs until 2029 and contains a £65m release clause that certain clubs can trigger.

However, other reports have claimed that Spurs have been working to reach a compromise to land the striker considered ideal for Postecoglou’s style of play. It appears they have indeed now agreed a fee lower than that clause.

“What’s important is the type of striker we get. You know we play a certain way,” the Australian boss said during Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Japan.
