Leicester waiting on answer from Rangers, Stoke, Luton and Sheffield United as loan and permanent moves discussed.

Harry Souttar was left out of the Leicester squad for their final pre-season preperations, leaving Harry Souttar at home, hopefully being able to bring the player out on loan with a number of different rumour talk brought to surface.

Sheffield United were seen as the favourite in the chase, but it could also be a potential move back to Scotland for the Australia international defender.

All moves to and from Leicester at the moment looks to drag out and in some way also vanish at some point, hopefully Harry Souttar will be able to get his move settled as Steve Cooper looks to have the same opinion as Enzo Maresca on the player, seeing him so far down the pecking order that he even cannot be part of the last phase of the pre-season preperations.

Luton and Stoke are other clubs talked up in a potential move for the tall defender, who is a good player with a potential to become a steady performer at the highest level, surely being valued by Brendan Rodgers that decided to use £15million with possible add ons as he recruited him to Leicester, back in January 2023.

The summer signing of Caleb Okoli from Atalanta, could also see Ben Nelson be heading out on loan with Sunderland and Stoke talked up as possible destinations. Ben Nelson is a player that needs to prove himself after being on the fringe last season and before being loaned out to Rochdale and Doncaster.

We certainly hope for the sake of Harry Souttar, that he will be able to work on his game somewhere else as his time at Leicester looks a wasted project at this point. A permanent move would possibly be the best, but his wages and long term contract at Leicester cannot be matched by any of the clubs currently showing interest.

Steve Cooper is still looking for more players to bring in, but it looks a very difficult market to work in, for your updates, never miss out on our hot, cool and cold update of rumours.
