Nketiah’s deal lasts until 2027, and there’s been conflicting claims about Arsenal’s stance on him, from not letting the 25-year-old leave to demanding €50m to sanction a move.

Marseille have been in contact with Gunners officials to find out if they are willing to part ways with the 25-year-old.

It’s claimed the exit door has opened for the Englishman and Marseille have intensified talks with Mikel Arteta’s side this week.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side have tabled their first bid, to sign the frontman on loan with a €20m purchase obligation, and are awaiting Arsenal’s official response.

Nketiah’s game time was limited last season, especially in the second half of the campaign. The report states the possibility of joining the French club is ‘very attractive’ to him and his entourage.

Marseille have ‘almost reached’ an agreement with the Arsenal player over salary and the duration of the contract. L’Equipe say they have to work carefully as there are other clubs interested in Nketiah and this could convince Arsenal to raise their demands.
