Andy Whing’s Moors finished fifth in the National League last season and had a heroic play-off run which saw them miss out on promotion to League Two on penalties in the final at Wembley Stadium.

Good luck at Damson Park this season, Pinno!

We can confirm that young midfielder Jake Burger has today joined National League club Rochdale on a permanent transfer.

The 19-year-old joined the Hatters academy at the age of eight and was part of the Under-18 team that won the EFL Youth Alliance South-East Division and Merit League double in 2022/23, as well as reaching the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup.

Jake had his only first team involvement when named on the bench for the Carabao Cup second round tie at Exeter last September, but gained valuable experience in the second half of the season on loan at National League South side St Albans City.

The teenager leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Kenilworth Road and we look forward to watching his senior career progress at Rochdale.

Good luck, Jake!
