But attacking midfielder Bobb, who scored the winner against Newcastle in the Premier League last season at St James’ Park, has indicated he is keen to fight for his place for now with City. Norway international Bobb, speaking after Man City’s 4-3 loss to Celtic in the US this week, said: “I enjoyed last season a lot, but this season I want to play more, play a bigger part.

Eddie Howe stated last week during the club’s trip to Germany that he could not be certain that first-team stars wouldn’t be sold. Eales answered with an emphatic “yes” when asked if Bruno, Gordon or Isak would be here at the start of the Premier League season when speaking last week.
