The New York Jets need Aaron Rodgers to be healthy, happy, and locked in.

If that means letting him skip a couple of practices months before the start of the season, so be it.The former Super Bowl champion had a trip to Egypt scheduled before the Jets released their schedule for the minicamp, and while the absence was unexcused, the team was well aware of it months in advance.

That’s why they didn’t make a big deal of it, even though some fans and pundits took offense at that.

With that in mind, Rodgers made sure to troll the critics with a curious choice of attire.

As shown by TMZ Sports, the former Green Bay Packers star rolled up to Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in New Jersey donning a gray shirt with a big Egyptian cat on it.

Rodgers has never been the one to dwell on media narratives or what people say about him.

If anything, he seems to enjoy stirring the pot even further.

Truth be told, this should’ve never been a story in the first place.

We’re talking about a proven veteran; his work ethic has never been in question.

Also, he’s been there for voluntary workouts and even stayed close to the team after suffering a season-ending injury, so it’s not like he’s trying to make it seem as if he’s above everybody else.

Rodgers has earned his stripes in this league, and a walkthrough in mid-June won’t make much of a difference when it counts.
