£45million Chelsea move reported as Leicester are still hopeful of special signing as other move collapse.

Enzo Maresca made no secret of his move for Mads Hermansen, having his idea fully in place with his special skills being a motor in that project. Hermansen (24) is one player of course to recognize as a potential selling object and Leicester will be looking for a fee in the region of £45million.

Steve Cooper, is more pragmatic when it comes to goalkeepers, playing out from the back might be one option, but he will not say to his goalkeeper that playing a long ball would see him losing his place in the team.

Chelsea are looking for a skilled goalkeeper, as their options at this point, includes, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Robert Sanchez, Marcus Bettinelli and Dorde Petrovic. Maresca showed at Leicester that he had no problem, having a grand group of goalkeepers, adding Mads Hermansen to just complete his project. He had Danny Ward, Daniel Iversen, Jacub Stolarczyk and Alex Smithes at the club on arrival.

Leicester played Villareal on Saturday, using Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen, and the two were the prior alternatives before Mads Hermansen arrived, and we do feel that Steve Cooper will not be affraid to let Hermansen leave, as we have seen the price tag, then he is for sale, no doubt about it.

Looking at the stats of especially Daniel Iversen last season, he played 19 competitive games for Stoke. Having 7 clean sheets, conceding 26 goals, in his 19 appearances, playing for a team that struggled in the wrong end of the Championship table. Iversen came home with 3 wins in the last 3 games in the league season, keeping a clean sheet in all of them, it was against Plymouth (4-0), Bristol City (3-0) and Southampton (1-0). He played in 7 wins, 2 draws and 9 defeats. He was in goal for that FA Cup tie vs. Brighton, Stoke taking the lead twice, but had to see themselves defeated 4-2 in the end.

There are a lot of mixed messages regarding Matias Soule and his supposed move to Leicester. Nick Semeraro reported early on, a week or so ago, that Soule had no problems signing for Leicester. Since that message was given, a lot of different talk is ongoing, Fabrizio Romano, two days ago in a way confirming a deal had been done with Roma. Representatives of Soule have been in London for talks with West Ham, Crystal Palace and Leicester, and why should they, if Soule has no desire to move to Premier League, that makes no sense.

Today Leicestershire Live confirm that an agreement had been reached, but still hurdles to complete everything. With the previous talk of Nick Semeraro, an expert on Juventus, we had no doubt that his saying regarding the player and his wishes, were highly overrated by other sources, beliving Soule had a love affair with Roma. There are no new updates on the Fabrizio Romano X account in the last two days as the report on Soule joining Roma was dated 20th of July.

We reported a few days ago that Martin Braithwaite had joined Olympiacos, but his move never happened. The deal was confirmed, but the Danish attacker decided to withdraw. He is now looking at other options with Brazilian club Gremio seen as the frontrunner. There are no further updates at this point, but again Leicester could get a good player in on free transfer. Braitwaite was part of the Euro’s 2021 squad and the World Cup 2022 Qatar squad, but not part of the Denmark squad for the Euro 2024.
