Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro Expresses Candid Views on Hard Knocks Show.
For over twenty years, HBO’s Hard Knocks has provided fans with an inside view of football’s inner workings. It shows players in emotional moments in the locker room, coaches on the sidelines, practices, and now even some offseason decision-making processes.
Fans generally love watching all these aspects of the show. However, not all players feel the same. Pittsburgh Steelers star Cam Heyward, for instance, strongly dislikes the idea of the AFC North being featured on Hard Knocks.
“I hated it. I don’t want to be on this,” Heyward expressed on the Not Just Football Podcast. He believes having cameras in the locker room would disrupt its sanctity. According to him, there are many inside jokes and conversations that happen in the locker room, which might not be suitable for public viewing.

In today’s world, where things can easily be taken out of context, Heyward’s concerns seem valid. Despite this, Heyward and his teammates will share the spotlight with the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Bengals.
Ultimately, football remains about entertainment, and as Hard Knocks continues to gain popularity among fans, players and coaches may just need to adapt to it.
