The New York Knicks are fresh off a trip to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but it felt like they should’ve gone further.
Even though the Boston Celtics were clearly the best team in the league, some thought Tom Thibodeau’s team had a legitimate chance to give them a run for their money if they were at full strength.

They made two huge moves by trading for Mikal Bridges and re-signing OG Anunoby, and getting Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson back on the court will also be huge for them.
Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean they’re done making moves.
According to a report by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Knicks are keeping tabs on Davis Bertans.
He recently played for the Latvian national team and has shot almost 40% from beyond the arc throughout the course of his NBA career.
Bertans was recently waived by the Charlotte Hornets, and while he’s not a starting-caliber player, he’s the kind of floor-spacer and sharpshooting forward that could provide some much-needed spacing to the Knicks’ gritty and physical offense. The Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers are making moves to match up with the defending NBA Champions.
It won’t be an easy task, as the Celtics have done a fantastic job of stacking up talent and keeping them locked in for the foreseeable future, so they must be very cautious about every single player they bring in.
Still, at the right price, signing one of the best three-point shooters still up for grabs in free agency makes perfect sense for Leon Rose’s team
