Cleveland Guardians ‘still working through’ options for #1 overall pick.
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Guardians, for the first time ever, have the top pick in the MLB draft.
And it sounds like they will use every available second to research who it should be.
Team president Chris Antonetti met the media Wednesday but, as expected, didn’t share any details on who they like.
Cleveland had a 2% chance to win the lottery.
Antonetti said the slot for the top pick is $10.5 million and the team will have about $18 million total for its entire draft class.
The draft is July 14 in Texas, site of this year’s All-Star game.
