West Ham United’s £40 million deal to sign Max Kilman appears to be on the verge of getting wrapped up.
This summer has all the makings of an exceptionally exciting one for the West Ham fans, with Max Kilman close to becoming our third new signing.
Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten have already worked in tandem to bring Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham to the London Stadium this summer.
Last month it was claimed that Lopetegui wants to make a bare minimum of six new signings in the summer transfer window.

I think the Spaniard actually needs to make more than that if he is to oversee some genuine progress at the club.
However, six new signings would be acceptable I suppose, as long as one of them is a top-class new striker.
And now the Hammers boss appears to have someone very specific in mind for the job at the London Stadium…

Michail Antonio has led the line for the Hammers over the past few years, and he has been a great player for us on the whole since 2015.
However, the 34-year-old has regressed beyond all recognition over the past year, and it’s time for Lopetegui to make a big upgrade on him.
I still think Antonio could be useful as an impact sub, but he shouldn’t be starting games for us week in, week out.
Now it seems like Alexander Sorloth could be the man to come in and pick up the baton from the Jamaica international.
