Everton reach agreement to sign Sekou Koita in latest Goodison Park transfer.
Everton are set to sign free agent forward Sekou Koita as an agreement with the player has now now reached, according to AfricaFoot.
The website reported on Wednesday (July 3) that Koita, who left RB Salzburg earlier in the summer, is just waiting to finalise a few details before putting pen to paper with the Toffees.
He’ll join fellow Malian Abdoulaye Doucoure at Everton and become part of a growing contingent of Malian players in the Premier League.
The Merseyside club have already accepted all of the player’s requests, according to a source very close to Koita.
Stuttgart, Lens and CSKA Moscow are also said to have showed an interest in Koita, but Everton appear to have won the race for his signature.
Everton’s busy transfer window continues with the Toffees eyeing up Sekou Koita
Everton’s transfer window has been buzzing with activity, and they’re about to make another exciting addition by signing Koita.
After successfully holding off Manchester United’s bid for Jarrad Branthwaite – for now – and bringing in players like Jack Harrison, Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye, the Toffees are set to add even more firepower to their squad.
Koita will be joining the club after overcoming injuries that had slowed his career.
He’ll also be reuniting with fellow Malian Doucoure, adding both depth and dynamism to the team.
Everton have reportedly agreed to all of Koita’s requests, as they try to make his transition as smooth as possible.
