Danny Rohl, Manager of Sheffield Wednesday, looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City at Hillsborou...

Sheffield Wednesday are ‘very secretive’ about one thing under Danny Rohl this season.

Sheffield Wednesday have now confirmed more good news as Dominic Iorfa signs a new contract with the club.

It has been an exciting start to the week for the Owls, who have now signed Olaf Kobacki since Monday, as well extending the deals of Iorfa and Josh Windass.

Sheffield Wednesday are now only waiting for Di’Shon Bernard to put pen to paper, having been at the Copa America in recent weeks as the club await his decision.

Away from new contracts, Wednesday have already signed six new players since the transfer window opened last month.

They have been very open about their transfer plans and their eagerness to improve the squad, while fans have shared their excitement on social media.

Sheffield Wednesday told they have been ‘very secretive’
However, Wednesday have been ‘very secretive’ about one thing during the whole summer process.

Writing on X, journalist Joe Crann said: “Just a word on contract lengths with regards to the new #SWFC deals and new signings… The club never give details on that, they haven’t for years, but things are being kept extra hush his this season.

“We’ll try and get details, but it’s all very secretive this time around.”

The Owls’ squad needs stability and longer contracts
Kobacki’s agent revealed that the winger had signed a four-year contract at Hillsborough earlier today, but there has been very little indication from the club’s side on any other player.

It’s unclear why that is, but fans will be hopeful that they have all signed for longer than a year.

Bernard was tied down to a one-year deal after signing on a free transfer last summer and there is no doubt that supporters have been wishing it was much longer.

With the Owls also bringing in younger players than previous windows, there is no excuse not to sign them on for longer than 12 months.

Wednesday need stability and commitment from players, so to see them eager to play in Yorkshire for a number of years would be a huge relief and would also say a lot about Danny Rohl.
