Crystal Palace winger makes Championship switch as he agreed terms with Stoke City Perhaps…
Crystal Palace winger Scott Banks has joined Stoke City on a permanent transfer.
The 22-year-old joined Palace from Dundee United in January 2020 and had half-season loan spells at Alloa Athletic and Dunfermline Athletic.
He headed out on loan to League Two side Bradford City for the 2023-24 season.
Banks spent last season on loan with St. Pauli in the Bundesliga 2 and made three appearances before suffering an ACL injury which ruled him out for nearly the entire season.
He returned for the final game of the season and assisted the winning goal to see the side win the title.
Player set to have medical for Crystal Palace transfer this week – Five-year contract waiting for him
Michael Olise’s transfer from Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich is expected to soon be made official by the clubs.
A fresh report from Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg today claims the player is taking the final steps to finalise the move to the German side.
It’s said that Olise will complete his medical with Bayern this week, and then sign a contract which will run until 2029.
The Bundesliga giants are reportedly paying Crystal Palace €60m, with potential add-ons.
Plettenberg claims that the transfer should be made official this week.
Following his very good season with Crystal Palace, Olise had been the object of desire for many clubs, with Chelsea repeatedly said to be working to get him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Bayern Munich, however, seem to have worked quick to get a deal agreed, with their agreement being reported as soon as the talks with the Blues collapsed.
Olise joined Crystal Palace on a €9.3m move from Reading back in 2021. He’s now leaving Selhurst Park with 16 goals and 25 assists in 90 appearances for the club.
According to Fabrizio Romano (27 June), the Eagles have made contact already to sign the 18-year-old midfielder, who is the younger brother of Jude Bellingham.
Along with Antonio Nusa, he remains one of Palace’s top targets as they look to replace Michael Olise, who is all set to join Bayern Munich.
The transfer guru says that the Eagles see the youngster as one of their “dream targets” and they are prepared to launch a formal move when they receive a green signal from the player’s side.
If Bellingham decides to leave Sunderland, it is expected that the Eagles will make a strong effort to bring him to Selhurst Park.
Oliver Glasner likes the player very much and he wants him at the club this summer.
Romano wrote for the Daily Briefing: “Bellingham is also wanted by Brentford and other English clubs, but I would keep an eye on Palace because they are pushing.
“Their manager Oliver Glasner wants Bellingham, and so now it depends on the player, because if he gives the green light they are prepared to go strong on this one.
“As soon as Bellingham decides, together with his family, Palace are prepared to attack the situation. Contacts have been taking place already, and he’s absolutely one of their dream targets, so keep an eye on this one.”
