The 6-3, 175-pounder’s decision to pick the Crimson Tide comes as little surprise to 247Sports, as three Crystal Ball predictions went in for Alabama over the weekend.

Now locked in, Russell is the highest-ranked commit for the Crimson Tide according to 247Sports. He checks in at the No. 39 overall and is the No. 7 quarterback in the country. An elite prospect, he has led Duncanville to consecutive Texas 6A D-1 state titles. Russell completed 72% of his passes for 3,8423 yards with 38 touchdowns and three interceptions as a junior.
