2025 OT Jackson Lloyd commits to Alabama football
Alabama football took its third offensive line commitment in the 2025 recruiting class on Tuesday. Tackle prospect Jackson Lloyd announced his pledge after an official visit to Tuscaloosa.
Lloyd is a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite ratings. He plays his high school football at Carmel in California.
The 6-foot-7, 290-pound Lloyd is listed as the No. 19 offensive tackle in the 2025 class on the 247 composite, which ranks him as the No. 187 overall player. Lloyd also plays basketball and baseball at Carmel.
“The length jumps out, moves well and is a physical player,” 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins wrote in his assessment of Lloyd. “Gets to the second level and routinely takes LBs/DBs off the screen and puts guys on their back. Is able to just manhandle kids at the HS level. Still plays high at times and can continue to improve his short area quickness but possess all the physical tools you want to see. Has a nice mean streak to him and plays through the whistle.”
Lloyd chose the Crimson Tide over offers from Florida, Ohio State and Michigan State among others. He was one of the first players offered by new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer when Nick Saban’s replacement began work in Tuscaloosa in January.
He became Alabama’s 17th commitment in the 2025 class. The group includes Central-Phenix City tackle Mal Waldrep and Pennsylvania IOL prospect Michael Carroll.
Alabama’s class ranks third in the 247Sports composite ratings currently. Just Ohio State and Notre Dame are rated above the Crimson Tide.
