Male High DB Antonio Harris commits to Louisville

Louisville has received the commitment of Male High School three-star prospect Antonio Harris

Louisville Male High defensive back Antonio Harris, a long-time target of the UofL coaching staff, has committed to the Cardinals. Harris made his decision while on his official visit over the weekend.

The three-star prospect becomes the 10th member of the Louisville’s 2025 recruiting class. He’s the third in-state target to commit to the Cardinals, joining North Oldham offensive lineman Gradey Anthony and Ryle High defensive lineman Dillon Smith.

Harris announced for the Cardinals over additional scholarship offers from Ball State, Buffalo, East Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky, Marshall, Miami of Ohio, Purdue, and Western Kentucky.

Harris, a 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback, is the son of former UofL linebacker Nate Harris and nephew of former UofL running back Doug Beaumont, the rising three-star prospect is quite familiar with the program.

Harris has been a longtime U of L target and was one of the first underclassmen the new staff reached out to. UofL coaches, including running back coach and Male High alum Chris Barclay, visited Harris’ school throughout the recruiting process.

Among Harris’ more recent visits at Louisville was in January for the program’s Junior Day.

“The visit was good,” Harris reported at the time. “It was good to be able to get around the coaches and be able to have 1-on-1 conversations with them. Having the time to be able to get around the facility and know the staff on a deeper level was really what I was going for. It’s always good to be with them and hope to continue the relationship and see what happens next.”

Typically avoided by opposing offenses, Harris had 15 tackles, with two interceptions as a junior. He was also second on the team with 25 receptions for 620 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Louisville has now added four commitments to its 2025 class from prospects that made an official visit over the last two weeks. Harris joins wide receiver LeBron Hill, linebacker Caleb Matelau and running back Jaylin Brown who all chose the Cardinals following their official visits May 31-June 2.
