Mikel Brown Jr. earns offer from Kentucky Basketball
Brown is arguably the top point guard in his class.
The Orlando (FL) native is a 6-foot-2, 165-pound point guard who plays for Overtime Elite in Atlanta (GA). Brown is ranked No. 14 overall and the No. 2 point guard in the 2025 class, according to 247 Sports. He holds additional offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Kansas, Tennessee, Florida, and Michigan, among others.
Since Pope has been the head coach at Kentucky, he has given Darryn Peterson and AJ Bybantsa another offer after John Calipari left. But this week, Pope has been handing out new offers, and we should expect to see plenty more go out in the coming days and weeks while the summer AAU circuit rolls on.
Hopefully, with Pope and the new staff, he continues to recruit the best of the best from each year’s class while also hitting the transfer portal to ensure the roster has plenty of young talent and experienced veterans in future seasons.
