West Ham United update as transfer offer made for Carlos Miguel.
Corinthians keeper Carlos Miguel has seen offers made for him from Premier League duo West Ham and Nottingham Forest, according to Globo.
The Brazilian media outlet reported that the Hammers have been in advanced negotiations for the 25-year-old since Friday, 7 June.
The behind-the-scenes negotiations have been turbulent as it has taken Corinthians by surprise as they’re now resigned to losing their goalkeeper.
West Ham do not need another goalkeeper this summer
The Hammers are believed to have lost out to Nottingham Forest in the race to sign the Brazilian, according to CNN Portugal’s Bruno Andrade.
It should not really be a blow as the club already boast a strong goalkeeping lineup with Alphonse Areola and Lukasz Fabianski.
However, they do seem keen on bolstering their squad depth and competition for the number one spot.
Forest, who have been proactive in the transfer market, see Miguel as a valuable addition to their goalkeeping options.
For the Irons, if Julen Lopetegui is indeed that keen to sign a new keeper this summer, there will be developments over the coming weeks.

With Areola and Fabianski still at the London Stadium, it is unlikely that the Spaniard will be prioritising that this summer.
