Wigan Athletic are yet to make a move for Altrincham ace Chris Conn-Clarke and any interest from Shaun Maloney’s side is at a ‘low’ level right now, as per a report by Wigan Today.
Wigan Athletic have been linked with a swoop for the National League attacker in the upcoming transfer window by journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon page. They are preparing for another year in League One next season.
Conn-Clarke, 22, appears to be a man in-demand this summer amid reported attention from higher up the football pyramid. FootballTransfers have claimed that Ipswich Town, Portsmouth, Peterborough United and Mansfield Town are admirers of him.
In this latest update on his situation by Wigan Today, the Latics’ links have been cooled. They delved into the market earlier this week to bring in Liverpool right-back Calvin Ramsay on loan following his loan spells at Preston and Bolton Wanderers in the last campaign.

Conn-Clarke is likely to secure a switch to the Football League in the near future and a move to the DW Stadium would make sense from a geographical point of view.
He wouldn’t have to move far from Altrincham to go there and would be staying in the North West. However, for now, it appears the Latics’ chances of making a move are slim.
The former Northern Ireland youth international scored 22 goals in all competitions last term for Alty and helped them reach the play-offs. However, they lost out at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Bromley.
Conn-Clarke started his career with spells as a youngster at Linfield and Glentoran before Burnley lured him over to England in 2018.
He then spent three years at Turf Moor but didn’t make a senior appearance.
