Hull City, Hull City leading race for Sheffield Wednesday ace along with fellow Championship side

Hull City and Coventry City are leading the race to sign Sheffield Wednesday attacker Josh Windass this summer, according to a report by Football Insider.

Windass, 30, is facing an uncertain future at Hillsborough after helping the Owls retain their Championship status in the last campaign under Danny Rohl. He has been on the books of the South Yorkshire outfit since joining them back in 2020 and has been a key player since then.

In this latest update regarding his situation by Football Insider, the Tigers and the Sky Blues are at the front of the queue as they look to snap him up for nothing.

Hull City and Coventry City are both interested in landing the forward on a free transfer ahead of next season. He is due to become available as a free agent as things stand with his contract at Sheffield Wednesday set to expire at the end of the month.
