Cavs Have Been Granted Permission To Interview 2 Coaching Candidates.
The Cleveland Cavaliers parted ways with head coach J.B. Bickerstaff.
Some were shocked to see that happen, as the team had overachieved despite a plethora of injuries.
They had the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference and could’ve even gotten the No. 3 or No. 2 seeds.
They also won a playoff series, and not many teams would’ve stood a chance against the Boston Celtics anyways.
Even so, it seemed like Bickerstaff had already overstayed his welcome in Ohio, and it’s officially the start of a new era for the Cavs.
With that in mind, ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the team has been granted permission to interview two top assistants: Kenny Atkinson of the Golden State Warriors, and James Borrego of the New Orleans Pelicans.
