Fans Are Concerned About Commanders Player’s Physique After Viral Photo.

But with Quinn in charge, Washington will have a big emphasis on defense in 2024 and beyond.

They will need to be a lot more physical and stout at all levels.

One Washington defender might be at a disadvantage in terms of how physical he can be.

That player is cornerback Emmanuel Forbes.

Coming into the league, Forbes stood at six feet and weighed just over 180 pounds.

In this recent photo, he looks tiny.

It looks like he has lost a ton of weight.

That could be a problem when he goes up against the likes of A.J. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, and Malik Nabers in the NFC East.

Cornerbacks don’t necessarily need to be the biggest defenders on the field.

If they were, they’d be playing linebacker or defensive lineman.

However, they do need to possess some size in order to be elite defenders on the boundary.

With Dan Quinn’s experience coaching great defensive backs in Richard Sherman, Trevon Diggs, Stephon Gilmore, etc., he knows how to put the best product out there on the field from a defensive perspective.

If Forbes can get his weight back up for year two, the former Mississippi State star, who had 11 pass deflections as a rookie, should take a big step as an NFL sophomore.
