Everton ‘believe’ they will sign £30m player this summer from club who have to sell him .

Everton’s squad was relatively thin before last season started despite some key additions, yet they made it through with success.

It was the easiest that the Toffees had avoided the drop in their last three Premier League campaigns, despite enduring two deductions and a never-ending takeover saga too.

Sean Dyche deserves so much credit, not only for navigating such troubled waters, but for also keeping his squad motivated against all the odds.

Now, however, he will want to build upon the team rather than see it ravaged, despite Kevin Thelwell having already forewarned fans that a mass exodus might be coming.

Already the Toffees are on the prowl for replacements though, with this latest report suggesting that they could be set to acquire a familiar face.

Everton looking to re-sign Jack Harrison
That’s according to the Daily Mirror, who suggest that Dyche is keen on bringing Jack Harrison back to Goodison Park after a successful loan spell last campaign.

Having preyed on Leeds United’s relegation to bring in the 27-year-old last summer, they could once again capitalise on the misery down in Yorkshire, as last weekend saw them once again fail to gain promotion via the Championship play-offs.

They were beaten 1-0 at Wembley by Southampton.

So, that leaves the winger’s future once again in doubt, and with Harrison’s £30m price tag from November likely to have now dipped after such disappointment, Everton have a fine chance to pounce.

The report reads: ‘Jack Harrison is also scheduled to return, although Everton believe they can re-sign the winger on another season-long loan.

‘Everton feel they can take advantage of Leeds’ need to cut costs after missing out in Sunday’s Championship play-off Final to Southampton to land Harrison.’
