AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (32-18) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE)
Gusto started for Sugar Land and went 4.1 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out 5. The Space Cowboys’ offense came on a Cabbage 3 run HR in the 3rd inning. Sugar Land took a 3-2 lead into the 9th but Suero allowed 2 runs as the Express went on to win 4-3.

Guilfoil started for the Hooks and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5 innings while striking out 4. The offense got on the board in the 2nd inning on a Correa sac fly. Knorr relieved Guilfoil and allowed 2 runs over 4 innings while striking out 6. Price added a solo HR in the 6th to make it 3-2. The offense was unable to complete the comeback though as the Hooks fell 3-2.

Note: Guilfoil has a 3.89 ERA this season.

Swanson got the start and went 5 innings allowing 4 runs, with all 4 coming in the first inning. The offense picked up one run in the 2nd on a Guillemette RBI double. In the 7th, Asheville tied it up thanks to a Deming 3 run HR. Mancini went the final 3 innings allowing 1 run as the Crawdads retook the lead. The offense was unable to score again as Asheville fell 5-4.

The offense got on the board in the first on a Casserilla RBI single. Mejia started for the Woodpeckers and really struggled allowing 5 runs and retiring just one batter before he was pulled. In the 4th the Woodpeckers got a run back on a Luciano RBI single. In the 5th, the offense rallied for 4 runs on a

groundout, error, steal of home and Santander RBI double. The Woodpeckers tied it up in the 7th on a Hernandez sac fly. Sanchez was great in relief tossing 4 scoreless innings as the game went to extra innings. In the 10th, the Woodpeckers got an RBI double from Luciano to take the lead. Santander came out to pitch the 10th and tossed a scoreless inning picking up the save.
