Detroit Tigers Starting Pitcher Reese Olson continues to impress during the 2024 regular season. He put forth a masterful performance on Saturday afternoon at home against the Toronto Blue Jays as Detroit won a low-scoring affair, 2-1. He tossed 6.2 scoreless innings while striking out four. Olson escaped a bases-loaded jam unscathed in the top of the fifth inning by getting Blue Jays Designated Hitter Justin Turner to strikeout and end the threat.

The 24-year old right hander has gotten no help whatsoever from his offense as he has struggled all season to get run support. Olson has seven starts this season surrendering two earned runs or fewer this season that have resulted in either a loss or a no decision.
