Tottenham Hotspur are now the most likely club to sign £30m winger.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to sign a new winger this summer.

A number of Spurs’ current wide players face uncertain futures at the club, and Tottenham need to bolster those positions with new additions.

Just like last year, Tottenham could now raid Nottingham Forest for one of their exciting wide players.

Indeed, Callum Hudson-Odoi has been linked to Spurs in recent days, and according to The Sun, Spurs are in fact leading the race to sign him.

Tottenham favourites to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi
According to The Sun, Spurs are leading a three-way race to sign Hudson-Odoi this summer.

It’s unclear who the other two clubs are, but Sky Sports did recently report that the competing interest comes from within the Premier League.

However, despite this competing interest, Spurs are said to be favourites. However, Hudson-Odoi won’t come cheaply.

Indeed, despite only joining Nottingham Forest for £3m last summer, Hudson-Odoi’s value is now said to be at around £30m.

Hudson-Odoi might be best staying
Hudson-Odoi’s career finally seems to be getting back on track at Nottingham Forest, and he perhaps should stay at The City Ground for another season.

Indeed, before joining Forest, Hudson-Odoi was a bench player at a top club and his development plateaued and his value plummeted.

Now, he’s back on the right path, but after just one season, he’s being linked with a move to Tottenham where, with all due respect, he wouldn’t necessarily be a starter.

If Hudson-Odoi joined Spurs, he’d almost be going back to square one, he’d be in pretty much the exact same situation he found himself in at Chelsea, and, as everyone saw, that’s not good for the player.

Hudson-Odoi may want to spend another year as a big fish in a smaller pond before making the move over to a club like Tottenham and trying to kick on once again.
