Tottenham ‘agree’ first summer deal as Ange Postecoglou’s transfer plans take shape
Tottenham are expected to splash the cash during the summer transfer window.
Millwall have reportedly agreed on a deal to sign Japhet Tanganga from Tottenham this summer. The defender has impressed since heading to The Den on loan for the second half of the season, and he could be set to make the switch permanent.
Ange Postecoglou has made it no secret that he is keen to shake up his defensive ranks over the summer, with the ex-Celtic manager publicly vowing that he is hoping to sign at least one centre-back over the coming month.
The Aussie welcomed Radu Dragusin to the club in January from Genoa, but the Romanian has not entirely solved Spurs’ lack of backline depth and several other options are being explored – including soon-to-be free agents Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo.
Outgoings are set to be key in funding Tottenham’s transfer business, and they already appear to be lining up one sale. According to The Mirror, Spurs have agreed on a deal which will see Tanganga join Millwall on a permanent basis this summer.
