Ex-Hull City boss plotting MKM Stadium transfer window raid.

Plenty of decisions need to be made throughout the next few weeks surrouding the future of a host of players.

Former Hull City head coach Grant McCann is eyeing another return to the MKM Stadium as he plots a bid to sign defender Tom Nixon.

The talented right-back spent the season on loan with City’s League One title-winning boss McCann at Doncaster Rovers, playing 32 times in South Yorkshire as the club agonisingly missed out on promotion back to League One.

McCann has made it clear that he only wants players back at the Ecopower Stadium capable of challenging for the League Two title and Nixon is one of those players he’d like to sign on a permanent basis.

The Doncaster Free Press suggest Nixon would be open to a return to the club, despite struggling for regular action in the second half of the campaign once Jamie Sterry returned from injury. Nixon has a year left on his current MKM Stadium deal but has never played a competitive game for the Tigers.
