Pedro Neto injury decision made as Gary O’Neil gives nod to ‘powerhouse’ – Wolves predicted XI vs Liverpool.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in Premier League action for one last time this season as they take on Liverpool away in Jurgen Klopp’s farewell fixture.

The attention will be on Jürgen Klopp for his final fixture in charge of the Reds but Wolves will be just as keen to end their campaign on a high. A top half finish is still attainable with a win but even a draw wouldn’t be enough to secure above 14th, the lowest possible finish at this stage.

Gary O’Neil’s men were briefly tipped as European contenders at the start of the year following victories over Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur but the progress soon stalled, not helped by an array of injuries. Nonetheless, a stable season wasn’t expected by many so 2023/24 has to go down as a success.

Liverpool have nothing to play for in the Premier League standings as a third-place finish is guaranteed. There’s so much at stake for Klopp, though, with the legendary German wanting to conclude his nine-year Anfield stay in style. The fans and players will also want to give him the best possible send-off by sealing a win.

Wolves will be well aware of the occasion but they won’t want to facilitate a dream day for Klopp. Wanderers will take this game as seriously as any other, and with that we believe O’Neil will name a strong lineup.

There are still doubts over Pedro Neto’s fitness, while Craig Dawson and Leon Chiwome are ruled out, but Wolves otherwise have a fully-fit squad to select from. With all that in mind, here are the 11 players we predict will start at Anfield.
