Hull City have been linked with Windass before in the past due to his dad’s links to the club. His father, Dean, scored the winner in the 2008 play-off final against Bristol City at Wembley to earn the Tigers’ first ever promotion to the Premier League.

The East Yorkshire outfit are without a manager at the moment following their surprise decision to cut ties with Liam Rosenior earlier this week. They finished 7th in this past term and were three points off the play-offs in the end.
