‘You made me laugh:’ Lions fan who trolled Packers’ draft gets game-worn cleats.
ALLEN PARK — Kerby Joseph has a special way of connecting with his fans on social media, and the Detroit Lions safety did it again while keeping his word for one who went viral during the 2024 NFL draft.
When the Green Bay Packers selected Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan near the end of the first round, one Lions fan in Downtown Detroit went viral when the camera cut to him and others surrounding his Packers friend in attendance. The Packers fan, who was decked out in a cheesehead and Jordan Love throwback jersey in Detroit, looked baffled as the pick was announced.
And the Lions fans surrounding him felt the sadness and reacted quickly — pointing and laughing in played-up, comical fashion, much to the delight of everyone watching from home.
Joseph was one of those people watching from home, with the Lions safety tweeting, “Whoever that Lion fan is that was laughing at that Green Bay fan, get at me bro.”
WXYZ-TV caught up with Kizito Katende, the Lions fan from Canton, after his reaction made the rounds on social media shortly following the draft. Katende told the station that he’s been friends with Jacob Sanchez, the viral Packers fan, since high school and that it “feels good to be on the laughing side of the joke finally.” Check out the interaction and full interview by clicking here.
